Service Support Engineer (Pump Controls / Hydraulics) (Southwest)
Job Description:
The Global Service Provider Engineer for Pump Stations provides technical support via telephone or computer connection to pump station customers around the world. This person must be familiar with a variety of irrigation, hydraulics, engineering and pump station design concepts, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing technical phone support to customers, distributors, and field personnel

Diagnose hardware, software and/or communications failures on all components of our pump station systems, and identify replacement service parts as required

Experienced with reading wiring diagrams, analyzing and programming PLCs and related logic

Provide remote services such as touch screen training, system optimization and troubleshooting

Work closely with manufacturing and design engineering teams as needed for customer support solutions

Remotely assist on-site Authorized Service Providers as required for installation, maintenance or repair projects

Support the development and implementation of revenue generating services such as GSP remote support plans, parts sales, and programming for logic components

Provide customer information to engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing

Track, report and follow-up on product and technical issues

Participate in the GSP 24 hour on-call phone support rotation

Provide Filtration system service/support

Provide Irrigation Central Control system hardware/software support
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred plus 3-5 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong network troubleshooting skills, both hardware and software
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills

Direct customer service and support experience

Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic principles to include safe working practices
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language(s).

Irrigation, golf course service, and central control programming experience
